EPA Speakers--Coral Reefs

Ok, so we had speakers from the EPA come and teach us about coral reefs, their effects on the environment, and our effects on them. To cut a long story short, greenhouse gases, water pollutants, and more direct effects of man (i.e. swimmers trodding on them, boats' anchors whacking them) are resulting in the destruction of all reefs worldwide, and it is absolutely imperative that mankind does something about out ASAP. If the reefs go extinct, a lot of marine life will go without habitats.

So far, the only solution we can really try to put into effect are the 3 Rs: Reuse, Refuse, and Recycle. Basically, the less junk that wind up in the water (including gases and other water-soluble substances such as soda, believe it or not), the better it is for the reefs.
